Dina Tyler: Finding Purpose and Meaning

Dina Tyler’s childhood trauma and her tendency to experience extraordinary states of consciousness eventually resulted in her being diagnosed, medicated and hospitalized for psychosis.
Finding meaning and purpose through her psychological crisis and extraordinary states gave her the vision and strength to heal and profoundly expand her concept of ‘self’ and her compassion for humanity.
Dina now works as a counselor to youth experiencing early psychosis and is co-founder of the San Francisco Bay Area Hearing Voices Network. She is also co-director of the Bay Area Mandala Project and was named Peer Specialist of the Year by the National Council for Behavioral Health in 2015.
