Linea Johnson: Rising Beyond Bipolar Depression

Linea Johnson: Rising Beyond Bipolar Depression

Linea Johnson is a graduate from Seattle University, with a major in English and creative writing. Prior to transferring to SU, she completed three years at Columbia College, Chicago, in a musical performance program. Linea worked as an intern at the World Health Organization in the mental health department. She is a national speaker and writer, advocating for understanding and support for people with mental illness and the elimination of the Stigma surrounding it. She and her mother, Cinda, co-authored the book “Perfect Chaos” about their struggle and Linea’s transformative journey with bipolar depression.

We have decided to bring Linea’s story into the film because her method of handling her mental emotional distress is very different from the way Adam or Ekhaya approached theirs.

In our next post on Linea we will share how she has kept herself safe in the face of her extreme states.
